MANILA, Philippines – Since its opening in 2009, Misibis Bay has fast become the Philippines’ most popular villa resort. The luxurious accommodations and unparalleled service are matched only by the resort’s ideal location and very enticing offers.

Popularly known as the Philippines’ Luxury Resort Island Playground with easy access to the Bicol Region’s Eight Wonders of Eco-Tourism, headlined by Mayon Volcano that serves as a majestic backdrop greeting each visitor upon arrival at the Legazpi Airport, this tropical hideaway located in Cagraray Island, Bacacay, Albay Province is every bit the perfect destination that could turn your summer getaway into the most memorable yet. Whether one gets there by air – from Manila or Cebu – or by inter-island ferries, the reward that awaits the travel-weary makes a visit truly worth it.

Bicol will easily resonate with adventurers. In this vast archipelago lie several active volcanoes, representing the fiery desire that ignites the soul of travelers seeking conquest; from its veins flow spectacular waterfalls like blessings from gods; its seas teem with life, boasting of all manners of fish species big and small. Indeed, there is no better place to cultivate an explorer’s heart.

With the region having the longest summer spell, it basks in the sun for roughly six months in a year – roughly 180 days of magnificent fun. Even as tropical season begins in May or June for the rest of the country, Bicol remains calm like summer that time of the year and planning an exploration will be unhindered by concerns of rains and typhoons.

Misibis Bay is built on a private, pristine stretch along the southern tip of the island, and is now billed as Bicol’s most prestigious destination. The resort’s architecture and interiors display a quintessence of style that allows guests to completely wallow in lavish comfort and elegance.

Misibis Bay’s accessibility makes it an ideal destination of discovery. By land, air conditioned tourist buses ply the Manila-Legazpi route daily with an average travel time of 10-12 hours, passing through the scenic roads of Maharlika and Andaya Highways, or faster overnight trips.

By air, travelers can choose from among the two daily flights to and from Manila (plus one additional flight during peak season) served by Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific; four weekly flights to and from Cebu via Cebu Pacific; and three weekly flights via Zest Air.

To get to Misibis Bay, pre-arranged transfers can be done by land or by a private helicopter. A trip can also be made via watercraft, an estimate half-hour transfer along the scenic coastline.
